Careers

The Career Centre helps you with all your career planning needs. Career planning involves research into what jobs are out there and what the jobs actually entail. Many graduates go for the obvious choices for a career without looking at the wonderful range of opportunities available. It's also important to make sure a job fits in with your skills, interests and motivations.
The facility to keep you well connected to graduate recruiters and the number and range of opportunities to meet employers on campus is matched by few other UK universities.

Career Centre Offers comprehensive information about
Occupations, employers, postgraduate training and vacancies.
Details of placements, internships and permanent vacancies of relevance are available to our students and graduates.  The Vacancy database is updated daily with information notified to the Career Centre direct from employers

The University of Leeds is targeted by many employers wishing to recruit graduates. Last year, around 450 employers and over 13,000 students took part in the Careers Centre’s varied and successful programme of events.

Career Centre helps you network with employers at presentations and receive top tips; gain an insight into graduate jobs and explore work experience
Opportunities from a wide range of organisations – and be one step ahead of your competitors
Career Centre provides you a platform to attend employer-led workshops on topics such as applications; psychometric tests or interview skills can really give you practical advice to improve your chances of success
There is something for everyone – multinational, national, regional and smaller organisations, law firms, local businesses, public and private sector employers, not for profit companies and opportunities abroad.
The Careers Centre advertises 1000s of graduate and work experience opportunities on our on-line job board.
For part-time and temporary jobs, the Joblink service run by the Students Union is for you.
