Leeds has around 1900 Alumni in India
The Indian Alumni Association was launched in Nov. 1999, By Mr. David
Baker, Director International Office.
Alumnites are employed
in Senior to Middle Management positions in MNC's, Private Companies, PSU's,
Banks,etc.
A major Alumni reception
was held in New Delhi in Feb. 2000, when Prof. John Macklin, Pro Vice Chancellor
visited India.
UP Chapter
of Indian Alumni Association was launched in Lucknow on April 25,
2000. Some Alumnites, staff from British Library and Press pupil were
present at the occasion.
Leeds University
Business School (LUBS) held its 1st Alumni meet in December 1999 when Lord
Ken Woolmer, Chairman, LUBS visited India.
An Alumni Reception
was held in New Delhi in November,2001 in honour of Prof. Andrew Lock, Dean,
Leeds University Business School, Sara Avery, Marketing Manager, Leeds University
Business School (LUBS) and Claire Pandey from International Office were
also present.
The Mumbai Chapter
of Indian Alumni Association - University of Leeds was launched by Prof.
Andrew Lock, Dean, Leeds University Business School in November,2001. Also
present on the occasion were Sara Avery, Marketing Manager, Leeds University
Business School (LUBS) and Claire Pandey from International Office.
An Alumni Reception
in honour of Lord Woolmer of Leeds, Prof. Andrew Lock, Dean, Leeds University
Business School (LUBS) and Prof. Jim Lynch, Direcor, Institute for Corporate
Learning (IFCL), University of Leeds will be held on 11th January,2002 (Friday)
at the British Council, New Delhi from 6.30 P.M. onwards.
A small Alumni
Reception in honour of Lord Woolmer of Leeds, Prof. Andrew Lock, Dean, Leeds
University Business School (LUBS) and Prof. Jim Lynch, Direcor, Institute
for Corporate Learning (IFCL), University of Leeds will be held on 18th
January,2002 (Friday) at the Taj President Hotel, Mumbai from 6.30 P.M.
