Thousands of Indian Teenagers competed for a University of Leeds scholarship in a reality TV Show called Airtel Scholar Hunt : Destination UK .

The Airtel Scholar Hunt: Destination UK was launched on NDTV 24x7. The competitors faced a series of challenges over the five competition stages including a subject exam, an interview, quizzes and competitive tasks to test their skills and aptitude. There were strict eligibility criteria for contestants to ensure that the University’s entrance requirements were met.

The show offered fully paid scholarships to five UK Universities including 3 years Undergraduate programme in Management at Leeds University Business School (LUBS) – a prize worth more than Pounds 45,000 in total.

The contest was televised and shown across the whole of India and in UK on BskyB. People were able to live images of University of Leeds and City of Leeds.

The winner of the University of Leeds Scholarship was Akshay Goyal from Noida (Uttar Pradesh) who went to Leeds University Business School for BA Management Studies programme in September, 2007.
