Work Permits

There are two types of work permits - Part Time & Full Time
 
During Study - Part Time work Allowed
  Now, no Work Permit is required, students are officially allowed to work 20 hours per week during study time
  During Vacations can work full time
  Jobs can be casual, temporary in nature. For eg. in shops, Food joints, Supermarkets, University Departments, Libraries, computer centre, etc
  Sometimes the Career Services will have notice for Part time / Vacation work
  Your aim is to Study, not to earn.
  You may not get time to work depending on your course
  You may also not like to work.
  Typical Money per hour, can range from £3.0 to £10 per hour, Depending on type of job, time, location, day of week , month, etc.
 
After Study - Full Time
  International Graduate Scheme (IGS)
This scheme enables International Students who have successfully completed and obtained a Degree, Masters' Degree, Ph.D or Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma on or after May 01, 2007 to work in the UK for upto 12 months upon completion of their studies.
